Abu A
GCSE and A-Level Maths Tutor

Abu graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester in 2001 and went on to work for a global pharmaceutical company for a year. He completed his Postgraduate Certificate Education (PGCE) in 2009 at Keele University and successfully completed his Newly Qualified teaching year (NQT) at Deferrers Academy in Burton-on-Trent teaching Mathematics. In 2012, Abu decided to join the JCB Academy as he has a real passion for Mathematics and Engineering and has been teaching Maths there ever since.

He is highly experienced in teaching Maths at all levels, from low attaining GCSE Foundation learners to A-Level and further maths students, including mechanics and further mechanics.
Two years ago, Abu was promoted to Mathematics Team Leader at the academy. Abu is also passionate about football. He regularly plays in matches and is also involved in coaching a local junior 5-a -side team. He likes to keep active and go to the gym whenever the opportunity presents itself.
