MARK H
GCSE and A-Level Maths Tutor

Mark started his working life in the field of engineering but later decided a change in career and chose to teach. Due to his qualifications in A-level Maths, A-level Further Maths and a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Mathematical Sciences, Maths was the natural subject for Mark to teach.

He attained his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 2006 and began teaching Maths to students from Year 7 to year 11 at The Mitchell High School in Stoke-on-Trent. Mark taught at the a school for a total of six years and during this time had responsibilities for creating a school bank and in teaching the ‘Gifted and Talented’ students.

In order to develop his career further, he joined The JCB Academy in 2012 and had the opportunity of teaching both GCSE Maths and A-Level Maths.
He was once again tasked with the development of the higher attaining students and was also asked to organise the annual UKMT National Maths Challenge for students at the school.

Mark began tutoring students in 2018, whilst also teaching full-time at the school but by the end of 2019, he was inundated with phone calls from parents asking for his help and so he made the tough decision to leave full-time teaching in order to dedicate more of his time to 1-to-1 tuition.

Mark has been tutoring for Kapasi Maths Tutoring since October 2019 and is able to provide maths tuition for the following levels:
-
Key Stage 3 Maths (Year 7, 8 and 9)
-
GCSE Maths (Year 10 and 11)
-

-
