ABOUT US
With so many people offering their services, finding a suitable maths tutor and knowing what to look for in a good tutor can be a bit of a minefield. We understand the importance of getting it right the first time.
We are a team of qualified, highly experienced maths teachers who provide personalised,
1-to-1 maths tutoring to students studying towards their SATs, GCSEs or A-Level maths exams.
OUR MISSION
We believe, that with the right support, every child has the ability to develop a good level of mathematical understanding.

Our mission is to help as many children as we can to unlock their true potential and achieve the best maths grade they can through personalised good quality maths tutoring.
OUR APPROACH
We work with each of our students individually and take the time to understand their unique needs through a rigorous assessment process before putting together a bespoke plan to help fill in any gaps they may have in their knowledge.
Once lessons are underway, homework is set at the end of each lesson as practise is an essential element in the learning process.

Assessments are carried out at regular intervals to ensure each student is making good progress and this also gives us valuable information about how best to help them progress to the next grade.Feedback is provided to parents as often as they would like and can be given after every lesson.

OUR FOUNDER
Shabbir Kapasi
I founded Kapasi Maths Tutoring in September 2006, having taught maths in secondary schools for several years, because, as a teacher, I could see the value of a child having a good maths tutor and the impact it could have on them. It was easy to see the benefit of a child have the opportunity to sit down with someone and work with them on a 1-to-1 level on topics they struggle with. This personalisation is a level of engagement and interaction a teacher in a classroom setting is just unable to provide and with the number of teachers declining and class sizes increasing, tutors are more valuable than ever.

I started by offering maths tutoring to family and friends, but word quickly spread and within just a couple of months I was fully booked.
Since then, I’ve tutored hundreds of students, recruited more maths tutors, hosted GCSE revision workshops, worked with several local schools and now dedicate all my time to tutoring and helping more students.
